Tea & Thoughts

The Cup That Finally Cooled

There is something beautiful about tea.

It teaches patience.

Freshly poured, it asks us to wait.

Too often, we rush through our days the way we rush to drink tea before it’s ready.

We hurry conversations.

We hurry healing.

We hurry dreams.

And somewhere in all that rushing, we forget to savor the life we’re working so hard to build.

Today, my tea sat untouched while the morning unfolded outside my window.

The sunlight moved across the room.

A bird lingered on the fence.

The world wasn’t in a hurry.

So I wasn’t either.

When I finally picked up the cup, it was the perfect temperature.

Not because I had timed it perfectly.

But because I had stopped trying to control every moment.

Perhaps life is like that.

Some blessings simply need time.

Maybe the opportunities you’re waiting for…

The healing you’re praying for…

The peace you’re longing to feel…

They’re steeping.

Not forgotten.

Just becoming exactly what they’re meant to be.

So today, before you rush to the next task, pour yourself something warm.

Sit by a window.

Take a slow sip.

And remember—

Not everything beautiful needs to happen quickly.

Some of life’s sweetest moments are worth waiting for.

☕ Until next time… keep a warm cup nearby and an open heart.
